ABOUT US

The TIRSE Ministries website was dedicated in November 2009 by believers who have a desire to share God’s Word with as many people as we can in obedience to our Master’s command to preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).  We claim the promises of our Lord that where two shall agree on earth as touching any thing that we shall ask, it shall be done for us of the Father which is in heaven and that if two or three are gathered in His Name, He will be there in the midst of them (Mat. 18:19-20).  With this website and ministry we have a three-fold purpose and desire:

             1.  That souls may come to understand the gospel and know Jesus Christ as their Lord and

                  Saviour.  (Mat. 28:19-20; Mark 13:10, 16:15; Rom. 1:16)

             2.  That new believers may grow in God’s Word and learn the wonderful truths of His Word

                  the Bible.  (Eph. 4:14-16; I Pet. 2:2-3; II Pet. 3:18)

             3.  That believers, no matter how long they have been walking with God, will be edified and

                  learn new and wonderful things that perhaps they have never seen before in the Scriptures.

                  (Ps. 130:5; I John 2:5; II Tim. 2:15, 4:2-5)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The following is this ministry’s Statement of Faith

1.           We believe that the Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, are inspired of God, without error, and

             that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.  We believe that God has preserved the

             Bible for the English speaking people in the AV 1611 KJB.  (Mat. 24:35; Ps. 12:6-7)

2.           We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Isa. 43:10-11,

             4:6; I John. 5:7; Mat. 3:16-17)

3.           We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, and is true

             God and true man.  (Isa. 7:14; Mat. 1:24-25; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1; Col. 1:16-17)

4.           We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only

             physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are

             born with a sinful nature and are now sinners by birth and by choice, positively inclined to evil, and are

             therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse.  (Gen. 1:27, 2:17, 3:6;

             Rom. 5:12, 6:23; Ps. 51:5)

5.           We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative

             and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who repent and believe on Him as personal Saviour are justified

             on the grounds of His shed blood.  (I Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 4:10; I Pet. 3:18; John 3:16-17; Heb. 9:22)

6.           We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His bodily ascension into heaven and

             His bodily presence there for us as High Priest and Advocate.  (Mat. 28:6; Acts 1:9; Heb. 4:14; I John

             2:1; I Tim. 2:5)

7. We believe in "the blessed hope," also known as the “catching away” and the “rapture,” which is the

             personal, bodily and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the air to take His church

             out of the world before the seven year tribulation .  (I Thes. 4:15-18; I Cor. 15:51-52; Titus 2:13)

8.           We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and are

             thereby children of God and are eternally saved and secure.  (John 3:3,6; Rom. 10:13; John 1:12, 3:36)

9.           We believe that Satan is literal and personal, the agent of the fall, the archenemy of God, the prince

             and power of this world, and that he shall be judged and eternally punished in the lake of fire.

             (Isa.14:12-15; Eph. 6:12; I Pet. 5:8; Rev. 20:10)

10.         We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. We believe in a literal

             heaven and a literal hell; that the spirits of the saved at death ascend immediately to the presence and

             everlasting joy of the Lord Jesus Christ and that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend

             immediately into Hades where they are kept under punishment until the final day of judgment, at which

             time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, they shall be judged according to their works, and

             cast into the lake of fire- the place of final and everlasting punishment.  (Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 20:12-

             22:5)

11.         We believe that immersion is the only form of baptism revealed and commanded in the Scriptures,

             that it has NO saving power, but is only for those who are already saved; and that the new birth, which

             comes through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is the scriptural prerequisite to baptism;

             therefore only those who are old enough to believe for themselves should be baptized.  (Mat. 3:16-17;

             Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38, 41, 8:35-38)

12.         We believe that the Lord's Supper is a memorial of the death of Christ and that only those who have

             been saved through faith in His atoning blood, have been baptized and are walking in obedient

             fellowship with Him ought to partake of it.  (Luke 22:19-20; I Cor. 11:23-29)

13.         We believe that a New Testament church is a body of baptized believers, organized for the worship

             and service of God, and the spread of the Gospel in all the world.  The only two Scriptural offices of

             the church are that of pastor and deacons and must be filled only by men.  (Mat. 16:16-18, 18:20;

             28:19-20; Acts 2:46-47; Eph. 1:22-23; I Tim. 3:1-13, 2:11-12; I Cor. 14:34-35)

14.         We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation. This separation is in at least three

             areas: moral, personal, and ecclesiastical.  (Rom. 12:1-2; I Cor. 6:19-20; Titus 2:14; Eph. 5:11; I Pet.

             1:15-16)

15.         We believe that the healing and tongues movement of today is unscriptural and contrary to sound

             doctrine, and those who believe and practice these are in error.  (I Cor. 14:6, 22-23; II Cor. 11:14)

16.         We believe that we are living in the days of apostasy where many will not endure sound doctrine; that

             it is vital to stay on the “old paths” of Scripture no matter how much pressure is felt to compromise the

             Word or sound doctrine with the things of the world.  The ecumenical and “contemporary Christian”

             movements of today are unscriptural and contrary to sound doctrine, and those who believe and

             practice these are in error.  (I Tim. 4:1; II Tim. 1:12, 3: 1-14, 4:1-5)
