A couple of areas that I have enjoyed have been freelance graphic design and web page creation. Although I am by no means a trained commercial artist or professional webmaster, I have enjoyed working in these areas over the years and enjoy a good ability coupled with a significant level of creativity. I have had the opportunity to create logos and put up websites for different businesses, organizations and individuals in the past. In that spirit and in light of the fact that I do still have time to perform this kind of work, whether it be in the middle of the day or the middle of the night, whether I be at home this week and across the country the next, I have the talent to do the graphic art and webpage design and the ability to take a computer with me in my travels to work on them. This website is one of my examples. So this is what I am offering if you have a need in this area. For individuals and businesses I offer my services at lower rates than most anywhere else. For churches and missionaries I do not charge. I will list the retail prices for the packages and ask only for a love offering as the Lord leads you. LOGO CREATION Most companies, institutions and organizations want to have their own logo so
that people will remember them, this is called "sight
recognition." For example, when you see the Golden Arches you
don't need to see the word "McDonalds" to know that it means McDonalds.
Typically, the charge for creating a logo from scratch is $75. This could vary according to complexity but usually that's the only price. I can work with your ideas, sketches or update previous logos of yours. Keep in mind that all graphics will be original creations (unless we are updating one of yours and you own the rights) and no copyrighted or trademarked graphics can be used if you do not hold the rights to them. **Domain name registration and web hosting fees.** These fees are outside of the web design services and have nothing to do with them. Typically, the registration of a domain name costs anywhere from $10 to $40 per year. A domain name is the www.yourname.com where "yourname" is the URL or website address where people will find you. You register a domain name once and renew it (usually automatically) each year. Web hosting service is a company that hosts your website on their servers. Typically this costs from $5 to $20 per month and can be paid yearly in most cases. This too, can usually be set to "auto-renew" each year. A typical new setup will incur from $20 to $100 above my service price for these fees depending on the setup and payment options chosen by the customer. |
